St George's Anglican Church
A Traditional Episcopal 1928 Prayer Book Parish

The same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
St. John 20:19

ANGEL PARK GOLF PUTTING TOURNAMENT - SUNDAY, MAY 3RD

Ticket prices (including lunch) are $12.00 per adult and $8.00 per child plus your generous donation to help reduce St. George’s mortgage. Please sign up on the list at the back of the church.

WEST SIDE STORY AT SPRING MOUNTAIN RANCH - JULY 25, 2009

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 25th. Mike and Kathy McKeag are hosting a barbecue at Spring Mountain Ranch followed by the musical, West Side Story. Tickets, including dinner and the show are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and under. Since there will be a heavy public demand for this show, we need to know how many will attend no later than May 1st. A sign up sheet is located at the back of the chapel. All profit from the evening goes towards mortgage principle reduction.

THANK YOU, CAROL & BOB FABBRI FOR THE WONDERFUL LENTEN COMPLINE SUPPER!

The soups and salad were wonderful and the birthday cake was a thoughtful addition. Thanks Carol & Bob and Peggy Eichhorn who provided the cake!

JUST COFFEE AND COOKIES TODAY!

No one volunteered to prepare goodies for the coffee hour following the 10:30 am service. Perhaps this is the fast before the St. George’s Day celebration. If you wish to volunteer for a future Sunday, please check the coffee hour schedule located at the back of the chapel. Also, please consider making a small donation to help defray the cost of purchasing coffee, plates, plastic ware, and paper products. A donation box is always located on the coffee hour table.

THANKS TO SHERI PATRIDGE

Many thanks to Sheri Patridge for the beautiful crosses that were distributed at the Easter coffee hour. Sheri embroidered each cross and pocket and inserted a beautiful reminder to each of us to be thankful for the Lord’s blessings day-by-day.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO BRING YOUR MITE BOXES AND PLACE THEM IN THE OFFERING.

We employ the rich ceremonial of the historic Church in our worship. While it may seem a bit

strange or unnatural to you at first, be patient. The liturgical heritage of the Church WILL

speak to you in time, as it has to Christians through the centuries.

Welcome to Saint George’s Parish

In the Name of

God the Father who created us and sustains

the world in which we live,

God the Son who died for us and rose again

to save us

from a life of sin and death, and

God the Holy Ghost who inhabits and guides

our sacramental and prayerful worship of Him,

the One and Triune God.
