ACW HOLIDAY BAKE SALE, JEWELRY SALE, AND OPPORTUNITY TICKETS SOLD TODAY!

Today is the long-awaited Holiday Bake Sale. Please stop by the display on the patio and check out the goodies that the women of St. George’s have baked. In addition, today is the last day to place orders for custom made jewelry in order to receive them for Christmas giving. A beautiful handmade afghan made by Jan Patridge and a framed picture of a unique Slot Canyon at Zion National Park will be raffled today after the 10:30 service so today is the last day to purchase your tickets.

CELEBRATING ST. ANDREW’S DAY

This is a wonderful ceremony that includes a presentation of Tartans and blessings pronounced on behalf of all who are Scottish. We will celebrate with bagpipes during the service and a Scottish dance will be offered during coffee hour. A special lesson insert will be included in the bulletin next Sunday that relates to St. Andrew’s and the Anglican Church’s Scottish heritage. Please join us in welcoming our guests next Sunday.

MANY THANKS TO MIKE AND KATHY MCKEAG FOR HOSTING A GREAT PARTY!

The Casserole Club met at Mike and Kathy’s home last Sunday evening and everyone had a wonderful time. The Italian food was delicious and it was fun getting to know fellow parishioners.

THANKSGIVING DAY MASS

Come and offer your thanks to God for His many blessings at Mass this coming Thursday, November 26th at 9:30am.

OUTDOOR NATIVITY SCENE

Individual donors have allowed us to acquire pieces for a Nativity Crèche. This scene will be displayed during our Advent and Christmas services. We are asking parishioners if they would please donate a figure or a portion of the cost of a figure. If you wish to make a donation, please make a check payable to St. George’s Church and place in the offering. For further information, please speak with John Riley.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR ADVENT EVENSONG SUPPERS.

If you are able to provide a light supper for one of the Advent Wed. evening services (similar to those wonderful meals that were served during Lent, 2009). The Advent Suppers will be served after Mass and before Choir Practice on Wednesday evening, 6:35 pm-7:00 pm., Dec. 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd. Please place your name on the sign- up sheet on the table at the back of the church.

CHRISTUS REX, LATEST NEWSLETTER OF THE ANGLICAN PROVINCE OF CHRIST THE KING

Copies of our national church newsletter, Cristus Rex, are located on the table at the back of the Church. Also a color copy of the same newsletter is located on the bulletin board in the back hall.

One of our parishioners has a guest room for rent. The room offers kitchen privileges, private bath, high-speed Internet, and must love dogs. If you know someone who is interested, please speak with Father Hines.
