LENTEN SILENT RETREAT TO BE OFFERED AT ST. GEORGE’S
SATURDAY, MARCH 27TH
The retreat will occur from 3:00-7:00 pm. In-between
periods of silence there will be meditations on select verses of Scripture
utilizing James Wakefield’s work, Sacred Listening. A light meal will
conclude the event.
LIKE TO VOLUNTEER FOR MAKING A LENTEN SUPPER? MAKING THE
SUPPER IS EASY!
We hope volunteers (or groups of volunteers) will offer to
prepare a simple Lenten supper. It is a wonderful way to bring our parish
family together, especially during Lent.
EASTER BASKETS
The raffle of baskets will take place on March 21. If you
would like to donate some of the contents, the proposed themes are: wine,
golf, toddlers, teen, sports, coffee & tea, spa, crafts. The deadline for
receiving donations is next Sunday, March 7.
CASSEROLE CLUB
We are looking for a volunteer to host a Casserole Club
meal during March. The meal could be breakfast, brunch, lunch, picnic, or
dinner. The last event, hosted by Mike and Kathy McKeag, was a wonderful
event with good food and fellowship. A list of frequently asked questions
is posted on the bulletin board in the back hall. If you are interested,
please speak with Avis Adams or Father Hines.
