BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR APRIL 27, 2014

MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE LENT & EASTER DAY FULL OF BLESSINGS:

Special thanks to Ron Richardson and the Choir who provided beautiful music throughout the season.  Thanks to the Altar Guild who work constantly at God’s Altar especially during Lent and Easter.  Thank you to the acolytes, especially John Pelham, Jr., Michael Jones, Matthew Seibert, Joe Seibert, Rick Cummings, and Vincent Mills who assisted at the altar during Holy Week.  Thanks to Ann Whitfield who offered a Lenten class based on the book, “Rich in Year,” and many thanks to Kathy Ruud and Janie Brown for the beautiful Lenten retreat at St. Jude’s Ranch.    A special thank you to the St. Anne’s Guild who provided Easter Day coffee.  And thank you to Kim Jones who organized the Easter egg hunt and to the Sunday school teachers who labor in the Sunday School during the service when all the students have already had too much sugar!  Thanks to St. Anne’s Guild, especially to Carol Fabbri and her assistants, who assembled the beautiful Easter baskets.  Truly Lent and Easter services require a “cast of thousands.”

ST. GEORGE’S DAY, SUNDAY MAY 4TH

Please join us on Sunday May 4th for Mass at 10:30 am followed by the celebration of St. George’s Day. Bishop Morrison will be unable to attend this year, due to a funeral at All Saints.  He sends his regrets, but is sending Bishop Frank W. Brulc to officiate at St. George’s.  He will confirm those who have studied hard this past year.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO MASS AT 8:00 AM ON ST. GEORGE’S DAY.  We hope all those who regularly attend the early service will attend the 10:30 am service and welcome Bishop Brulc to this very special occasion.

ST. GEORGE’S DAY LUNCHEON, MAY 4th

If you have not already done so, please volunteer to prepare your “gourmet” treat for the luncheon.  A sign-up sheet is located on the patio.
