BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FEBRUARY 16, 2014

MARDI GRAS NEXT SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22 AT 6:00 PM—LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP
The ACW sponsors this wonderful social event.  This year it is hosted by Marian and David Haas.  A sign-up sheet for attendance and another sign-up sheet for volunteer chefs are available on the patio.  This party is one of the best of the year and a major fund raising event for the ACW.  Maps with address and directions are available.   Ticket prices are $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple.  Cindy Turner will be selling tickets after the 8:00 am service and Jack and Jerry Bates will be handling the sign-ups after the 10:30 am service.

50/50 RAFFLE COMING SOON!   We plan to sell 400 tickets with two winners – each winner wins $500 cash. The balance helps to reduce the church mortgage. Tickets are $5.00 each and will be for sale at Mardi Gras.  For questions, please see Mike & Kathy McKeag.

THE MAGDALENE MYSTERY, WRITTEN BY CHRISTINE SUNDERLAND
Christine Sunderland, a member of our national church, received yet another award for her novel, The Magdalene Mystery; this time capturing First Place, Adult Fiction, in the Feathered Quill Books Awards Program. The Dean of our seminary, Fr. Paul Russell, says her work has “history, intrigue, romance,…a manuscript revealing the real St. Mary Magdalene,” unlike the Gnostic fluff about Mary Magdalene that has been so popular of late. The Magdalene Mystery is available for purchase in our parish bookstore with a donation request of $20.
