THE DRAGON SLAYERS ARE COMING!
Acting on the directive of the Bishop at last month’s Diocesan Synod, each parish in the Diocese is to provide a year-round stewardship program.

Stewardship is the pathway to discipleship and I feel God has begun a good work in us by the many ways we give of ourselves to Our Lord and His Church. The Vestry and I have formed a Stewardship committee and given it the name “The Dragon Slayers.” Ann Whitfield is the Committee Chairman. You will be receiving letters about year-round stewardship. All of God’s blessings come through prayer and fasting.  Please join with the stewardship committee and me devoting one hour a week in your homes to prayer and fasting—praying for God’s blessing in this worthwhile endeavor.  A Bible study on stewardship is to begin the week of Sept. 8th. Please also prayerfully reflect on the Scripture verse (St. Luke 16:13) listed in this week’s Bible Readings insert.  Fr. Hines+
