THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED WITH THE BURIAL SERVICE & RECEPTION FOR HANK

Father Hines, the Vestry, and St. Anne’s Guild wish to thank all who contributed so kindly to the Burial service and lovely reception for Hank. Betty and her family also wish to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love they received from the parishioners of St. George’s. In addition, St. Anne’s Guild is most appreciative for all the food donations and help with set up and take down. We truly are a parish family!

FATHER GREER’S COMMENTARY ON THE MASS IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

The price, unfortunately for the book has been raised to $10 to offer a better production of the book, ensuring that your copy will hold up from years of use.

“JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT” SATURDAY, AUGUST 18

This show is a musical written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The play is based on the story in Genesis of Joseph’s “coat of many colors.” If you are interested in joining us for a picnic and show at Spring Mountain Ranch, please sign the clipboard on the patio. Mike & Kathy McKeag will a picnic supper (sandwiches, chips and drinks) from 6:00-7:00 pm. The theater gates open at 6:00 pm. The show begins at 8:00 pm. Tickets for the show including picnic are $15.00 per person. Children age 5 and under are admitted free.

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY GROUP MEETS IN FATHER HINES’ OFFICE TODAY.

COFFEE HOUR DURING OUR HOT JULY DAYS:
During the month of July, coffee and hot water for tea will be served from the kitchen at the back of the church. If anyone wishes to bring some “goodies” they will also be served from the kitchen counter. Tables will not be set up on the patio.

FATHER HINES’ ENQUIRERS CLASS CONTINUES

The class meets at 9:25 – 10:10 am. This is a nine week course for those enquiring about membership & parishioners wishing to learn more about the Mass. While the emphasis will be on the Mass other topics will include a history of St. George’s parish and the Anglican Church. The textbook is Fr. Greer’s Commentary on the Mass.

ACOLYTE TRAINING BEGINS SUNDAY, JULY 15TH.
Rick Cummings begins Acolyte training on Sunday, July 15th.
Classes will take place in Father Hines’s office at
9:10-9:50 am.

MOUNT CHARLESTON HIKE DATE CHANGED TO SUNDAY, JULY 29TH

The hike is a go for Sunday, July 29th following the 10:30 am Mass. We need volunteers to provide lunch at the
church prior to heading up the Mountain. The proposed trail is Bristle Cone Pine trail in Lee Canyon.
