BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR EASTER V

WELCOME FATHER ROBERT DAVIS TODAY.
Father Davis is Rector of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Woodinville, Washington (near Seattle).  He is kind enough to celebrate Mass today in order to provide Father Hines with a few days off.   Please give Father Davis a warm welcome and spend a few minutes getting to know him after Mass.

WHILE FATHER HINES IS OUT OF TOWN:

THE ASCENSION OF OUR LORD:  HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION
The Ascension of our Lord is celebrated this Thursday, May 29, 2014:  Evening Prayer at 5:45 pm and Mass at 6:00 pm.

SPAGHETTI DINNER, NEXT SATURDAY, MAY 31, 5:00 PM
Bob Fabbri, our fabulous chef, will be cooking a Spaghetti Dinner next Saturday evening at 5:00 pm.  The ACW will prepare the side dishes.  This is a fund raising event to help reduce the mortgage.  Cost of dinner for Adults: $7.00, Children 4-12 years old: $3.00 each; and children 3 years and under are free.  In order to know how much food to prepare, please add your name to the sign-up sheet located on the patio.

50/50 RAFFLE TODAY   We have sold approximately 235 of the 400 tickets. There will be two winners – each winner receives $500 cash. The proceeds help reduce the church mortgage. Tickets are $5.00 each and on sale today after both services.  Please see Mike and Kathy McKeag.

TEEN BIBLE STUDY MEETS IN FATHER HINES OFFICE TODAY

PASTOR DR. MIHAIL’S NEW CLASS BEGAN LAST WEEK:  9:15-10:15 AM
A new series of classes began last Sunday.  It is the study of I AM sayings of Jesus in the Gospel of St. John.  It is not too late to join this wonderful class.   This seven-week course is led by Rev. Dr. Marcus Mihail.

WEDNESDAY EVENING CLASS
A study of C. S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters continues.  This class is led by Kathy Ruud.   The class meets on Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm.   Everyone is welcome to join the ongoing class.

SYNOD MEETS IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA, JUNE 10-12

2014 SUMMER YOUTH RETREAT, JUNE 29 – JULY 4.
Summer Camp for youth in grades 7 through 12 gathers for a 5-day program in the Pacific Northwest.  Father Davis is counselor for the camp.  Please see the flyers located on the patio.  If you know of a youth who would enjoy this camp, please speak with Father Davis today or Father Hines next week.
