Bulletin Announcements for October 19, 2014 – Eighteenth Sunday After Trinity

FATHER HINES AWAY FROM THE OFFICE TOMORRW THROUGH WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20-22.

NO MASS ON WEDNESDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 22
Wednesday Mass will resume Wednesday, October 29th.

 CONFIRMATION/ENQUIRERS CLASSES BEGIN NEXT SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26:

                                                                        Sundays, October 26, 9:25-10:15 am

Wednesdays, October 29, 7:00-8:00 pm

Fall Session concludes Sunday, December 14th

 

MONDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS:  STUDY OF THE BOOK OF ACTS BEGINS TOMORROW.
The Monday AM Bible study begins study of the Book of Acts on October 20 at 10:30 am.  This is a six-week series led by Ann Whitfield.  A sign-up sheet is on the patio.

TRIP TO THE FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL AT THE FARM NEXT SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26?
Father Hines and Luke invite anyone who wishes to join them for a trip to The Farm next Sunday after the 10:30 am Coffee Hour.  The entry fee is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for kids.  All proceeds go toward the care and feeding of the animals living at The Farm.  A flyer about the Festival is enclosed.  For more information about The Farm, go to http://TheLasVegas.Farm.

 WINTER COAT DRIVE FOR STUDENTS AT MOLASKY JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
St. George continues to participate in the Community Partnership program.  Molasky Jr. High has identified some students who are in need of winter coats or jackets.  Please see the enclosed flyer for information about the need.  If you would like to participate in this project, please bring donations to church no later than November 16th.  If you prefer, a financial donation is appreciated.

 

THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE THE FALL BARBECUE A HUGE SUCCESS
The barbecue yesterday was great fun with good fellowship, wonderful food, games and the always popular Cake Walk.  Many thanks to the ACW for their organizational skills.  And many thanks too, to our chefs, game coordinators and all who donated homemade side dishes and cakes.  A special thanks to the Elevate students who made the wonderful centerpieces.

NINE LESSONS & CAROLS CHOIR PRACTICE CONTINUES EACH SUNDAY AT 9:10 AM
Enjoy singing Christmas carols? Want to praise God and support the music program at St. George’s? Come to our practice. You do not need to read music to sing with us. The Festival of 9 Lessons & Carols to be held at St. George’s on Sunday, Dec. 21.

The family is finalizing arrangements for Ishioma.   As soon as we know the date and time of her Requiem, we will notify everyone at St. George’s.
