Holy Saturday, Lighting of the Paschal Fire, April 19th, 6:30 pm

Easter Day, April 20, 8 am Mass with Hymns; 1030 am Choral Mass & Children’s Flowering of the Cross,

Sunday School & Nursery Care,

Festive Coffee Hour, Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Basket Raffle after 10:30 am service.

 

EASTER LILIES —  TODAY IS LAST DAY TO SIGN-UP!

The sign-up sheet with a donation envelope for Easter Lilies is located at the back of the church or on the patio table.

MAKING CONFESSION IN LENT

Please contact Father Hines for an appointment to hear your Sacramental Confession during Lent.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT ALTAR OF REPOSE

A sign-up sheet is available on the table at the back of the church for those who wish to pray at the Altar of Repose on Maundy Thursday, April 17.  We also need volunteers to help set up the Altar on that date and take it down on Saturday afternoon.  Please sign on the same sheet if you are available.

ST. ANNE’S GUILD (ACW) WILL MEET SATURDAY, APRIL 19, 2:00 PM AT THE CHURCH.

The purpose of this brief meeting is to discuss coordination of the luncheon to be served when Bishop Morrison visits our Church on May 4th.  Please let us know if you plan to donate your delicious specialty to the luncheon.  We need casseroles, salads, shrimp, etc..  A sign-up sheet is on the patio today.

EASTER BASKETS ARE ON DISPLAY ON THE PATIO

Please stop for a few moments after Mass and look at the beautiful Easter Baskets that will be raffled on Easter Day.  Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00.  Thanks to St. Anne’s Guild of the ACW, these baskets have become a wonderful tradition at St. George’s

EASTER DAY FESTIVITIES AT ST. GEORGE’S!

During the 10:30 am service, the Sunday School will participate by flowering the cross and bringing their mite boxes to the Altar rail.  After Mass, there will be a special coffee hour and the children will have an Easter Egg Hunt.  In addition, the Easter baskets will be raffled.

LENTEN MITE BOXES ARE RETURNED ON EASTER DAY OR DURING THE EASTER OCTAVE

Wednesday, May 7: Study of C.S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters. Four-week class led by Kathy Ruud.  Meets Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm

Sunday, May 18: Study of “I am” sayings of Jesus in the Gospel of St. John, 9:15-10:15 am, 7 week course led by Rev. Dr. Marcus Mihail, friend of Fr. Hines and husband of parishioner, Sandra Mihail.
