ST. GEORGE’S DAY, SUNDAY APRIL 26
Please join us on Sunday, April 26 for Mass at 10:30 am followed by the celebration of St. George’s Day. Bishop Morrison will officiate and confirm those who have studied hard this past year. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO MASS AT 8:00 AM. We hope all those who regularly attend the early service will attend the 10:30 am service and welcome Bishop Morrison to this very special occasion.
ST. GEORGE’S DAY LUNCHEON
Donations for the luncheon are gratefully appreciated. Please see the sign-up sheet on the patio.
MEN’S PARISH GATHERING WITH EVENING PRAYER AT 5:00 PM: NEXT MEETING MAY 3RD
All men of the parish are invited to evening to Evening Prayer at 5:00 pm with a light supper afterwards. This group was formed during Lent and has been very well received. Please join them and get to know others in the parish.
VOLUNTEERS FOR 10:30 AM COFFEE HOUR DURING APRIL, MAY, AND JUNE ARE NEEDED
All Sundays for the next three months are open, except next week when the Bishop visits. Please see the sign-up sheets on the patio. Please consider volunteering for this worthy ministry. Our guests really enjoy friendly greetings and some light refreshments on the patio after Mass. Coffee hour is a parish-wide responsibility (not just the ACW). The ushers make the coffee and set up and take down the tables. Those who provide the goodies, set up the necessary items such as cups, plates, napkins, and plasticware and stay after the service to help tidy up the kitchen.
TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY AT MOLASKY MIDDLE SCHOOL, FRIDAY, MAY 3
As part of the Mayor’s Faith initiative outreach program to neighboring schools, St. George’s congregation would like to show our appreciation to the teachers at Molasky Middle School. We will do so, in partnership with Word of Life Church, by providing the dessert at the annual teacher appreciation luncheon on May 3rd. Our offering will consist of pies from Marie Callenders. Financial donations are appreciated to support this effort. Please place in the offering plate at the Mass. Any donation given is greatly appreciated.
