THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED AND ATTENDED THE BARBECUE AND MEN’S CAKE AUCTION LAST WEEK

Many thanks to the St. Anne’s Guild who organized the party, to the men who baked the delicious cakes, to Al Hoffman & Vincent Mills who were our chefs, and to Mike McKeag, our auctioneer.  Great Job!

FATHER HINES’ ENQUIRERS CLASS CONTINUES

The class meets at 9:25 – 10:10 am.   This is a nine week course for those enquiring about membership & parishioners wishing to learn more about the Mass. While the emphasis will be on the Mass other topics will include a history of St. George’s parish and the Anglican Church. The textbook is Fr. Greer’s Commentary on the Mass.

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY GROUP ATTENDS MASS TODAY.

VESTRY MEETING NEXT SUNDAY, JUNE 24TH AFTER 10:30 SERVICE

COFFEE HOUR VOLUNTEERS FOR 10:30 AM SERVICE ARE NEEDED FOR ALL SUNDAYS DURING JULY AND AUGUST.

“Service” is a very important and wonderful way to give back to God and our church.  Coffee Hour is very important for fellowship and for welcoming new members into the parish.  Oft times it might be the only opportunity for our parish family to socialize and for visitors and new members to meet us.  Sign up sheets are located on the back table.  As our Lord said, “It is more blessed to give, than to receive.”

Our ushers set up tables and prepare the large coffee and hot water urns.  If you volunteer for coffee hour, please come early and help set the tables and stay to help clean up afterwards.

“JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT” SATURDAY, AUGUST 18

This show is a musical written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.  The play is based on the story in Genesis of Joseph’s “coat of many colors.”  If you are interested in joining us for a picnic and show at Spring Mountain Ranch, please sign the clipboard on the patio.  Mike & Kathy McKeag will host dinner (sandwiches, chips and drinks) from 6:00-7:00 pm.  The theater gates open at 6:00 pm.  The show begins at 8:00 pm.  Tickets for the show including picnic are $15.00 per person.  Children age 5 and under are admitted free.

NOW FORMING: PASTORAL CARE NETWORK

Rebecca Andrews has volunteered to lead a new program to address special needs within our parish.  These might be sick, shut-in, hospitalized, elderly or other needs.  Rebecca is seeking members who can help with visits, meal preparation, reading, phone calls, etc.  A sign-up sheet is located on the patio.  All ages are encouraged to participate.  If you have any questions, please speak with Father Hines or Rebecca.
