Bulletin Announcements for Sunday, October 21

“IN GATHERING SUNDAY” – FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING, OCTOBER 28TH
Next Sunday, October 28th, we will gather as a parish family to give thanks to our generous and loving Father for all of the many blessings that flow from His throne and to make our pledge to financially support His church for the coming year. As you consider your pledge, please consider St. George’s monthly operating budget of $19,176.00. Did you know the church has expenses like your own home budget. A few of the monthly expenses are: Mortgage: $1500.00; Telephone: $259.00; Utilities: $641.00; Repairs & Maintenance: $1250.00; Accounting: $125.00; Advertising: $392.00; Insurance (Health, Property, Liability, Workers’ Comp.): $708.00; Diocesan tithe: approximately $1225.00; Office Expenses: $283.00. Please prayerfully consider your pledge for next year!

Coupons are good throughout next year. Books sell for $30.00. For the first fifty books sold, the church receives 20% of the sale price; over fifty books, 50% per book. Sale of books will last through Dec.15th.

THANKS TO THE ACW FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FALL PICNIC
Many thanks to the ACW and to all who baked cakes, prepared salads, set-up, decorated, and cleaned-up after the party. Particular thanks go to Chef Bob Fabbri and his assistants and to Julie Viacava who organized the children’s games. This year we had the largest gathering ever. It was a wonderful gathering of our parish family!

HELPING NEEDY FAMILIES WITH A THANKSGIVING MEAL
Father Hines and other parishioners are involved with the city’s Faith Initiative Forum, hosted by Mayor Carolyn Goodman. Churches have been asked to partner with government agencies to better meet the needs of our community. Our parish family has an opportunity to help with Cimmaron High School’s annual Thanksgiving Day dinner for needy school students and families. Volunteers are needed to help serve the Thanksgiving meal and/or to donate money to purchase pies for that meal. Details to follow in upcoming bulletins.
