Bulletin Announcements for Sunday, October 28, 2012

IN GATHERING SUNDAY” – FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING, TODAY!
Today, we gather as a parish family to give thanks to our generous and loving Father for all of the many blessings that flow from the throne of Christ the King and to make our pledge to financially support His church for the coming year. As you pray about your pledge, please consider St. George’s monthly operating budget of $19,176.00. Did you know the church has expenses like your own home budget? A few of the monthly expenses are: Mortgage: $1500.00; Telephone: $259.00; Utilities: $641.00; Repairs & Maintenance: $1250.00; Accounting: $125.00; Advertising: $392.00; Insurance (Health, Property, Liability, Workers’ Comp.): $708.00; Diocesan tithe: approximately $1225.00; Office Expenses: $283.00. If you can increase your pledge over last year, the church would be most grateful; if you are unable, we give thanks to God for your sacrificial offering.

This morning you will hear a message from Rector and the Junior or Senior Warden. A stewardship prayer will be given and each member will complete a pledge card for 2012 (pledge card included with this bulletin). Pledge cards should be placed in the offering plates to be blessed at the Altar. May God bless our offerings for the furtherance of His Kingdom.

PLEASE JOIN US ON THE PATIO AFTER EACH MASS TODAY TO ENJOY A WONDERFUL MEAL TO CELEBRATE THE MANY BLESSINGS THAT GOD HAS GIVEN EACH OF US AND OUR CHURCH

HELPING NEEDY FAMILIES WITH A THANKSGIVING MEAL

Father Hines and other parishioners are involved with the city’s Faith Initiative Forum, hosted by Mayor Carolyn Goodman. Churches have been asked to partner with government agencies to better meet the needs of our community. Our parish family has an opportunity to help with Cimarron High School’s annual Thanksgiving Day dinner for needy school students and families. Volunteers are needed to help serve the Thanksgiving meal and/or to donate money to purchase pies for that meal. Details will be available after November 5th.
