VESTRY MEETS TODAY AT 12:30 PM

YOUTH BIBLE STUDY GROUP ATTENDS MASS TODAY

ENTERTAINMENT COUPON BOOKS AVAILABLE FOR SALE ON THE PATIO
These days people are watching every penny so it is nice to have a coupon book where you can save money through- out the year on such things as dinners at restaurants and various retail stores. These Entertainment books are available for other areas. If you wish to purchase one as a gift for a friend in another city, please let Al Hoffman know and he will order it. A portion of the money you spend for the entertainment book goes to the church. Books sell for $30.00. For the first fifty books sold, the church receives 20% of sale price; over fifty books, 50% per book. Sale of books will last through Dec. 15th.

THEA, A CALICO CAT NEEDS A NEW HOME
Thea is a mature, female Calico cat who is truly a “love ball.” She loves to receive and to give affection. If you have room in your home for a new best friend, please speak with Father Hines.

HOW ABOUT A MOUNTAIN HIKE? PROPOSED DATE: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH
The hike that was previously planned at Mt. Charleston is now rescheduled for Sunday, September 30th. It should be a refreshing hike and the perhaps the fall colors will be on display. If you are interested, please sign on the clip-board located on the patio. If we get enough people to hike and to help out with a lunch prior to the hike, it’s a go!

COFFEE HOUR SERVED ON THE PATIO
Please consider providing a few goodies for coffee hour. The coffee hour is a wonderful opportunity to visit with old friends and is very important for us to greet visitors. St. George’s ushers setup tables and prepare the coffee & hot water urns. Your responsibility is to bring a few treats (elaborate meals are NOT required) and help clean up the leftovers in the kitchen afterwards. If it seems overwhelming, ask a friend to share the contributions.

ST GEORGE’S IS COLLECTING FOOD AND ITEMS FOR THE NEEDY
We continue an ongoing food drive for the hungry.  In addition, the Sunday School collects items for the Homeless Teen Shelter. Please remember those who are needy and pick up a few items at the store for these worthy causes.
