INSTRUCTION ON THE FAITH: Is the Real Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament on the Alter truly His Body and Blood?

BIBLICAL REFLECTIONS, A DISCUSSION GROUP, LEAD BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
This discussion group meets each Sunday, 9:15 am – 10:15 am in the Nursery with Ann Whitfield as facilitator. Please bring a Bible (any version) and perhaps a notebook in order to keep track of what the Spirit is saying. Also please bring a folding chair from one of the other classrooms. Men and women are invited. Just come when you are able.

STEWARDSHIP IN-GATHERING, NEXT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 13
We ask that you pray diligently and listen with an open heart so as to discern the financial amount as well as time and talent God is asking you to give for the support of St. George’s for 2017. It is through these offerings that we are able to fulfill God’s commandment: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Matt. 28:19-20

HOLIDAY BAKE SALE COMING SOON – NOVEMBER 20TH
It is time to make preparations for donations to the Holiday Bake Sale. Some of you are already preparing items for the freezer. The Bake Sale is only two weeks away! We hope everyone is planning to donate homemade goodies.

ACOLYTE TRAINING RESUMES

RED WAGON PANTRY – NOVEMBER IS THANKSGIVING MONTH!
If anyone knows of someone in need of food, please speak to Fr. Hines so the food pantry can assist. For November, the Red Wagon is accepting Food Gift Certificates from any grocery store or cash donations as well as any food donations.

CHOIR FUND
As we approach Christmas 2016, our choir fund is short of cash and unable to cover the costs of our holiday expenses. Please prayerfully consider making a small donation to the choir fund. Your contributions will be used to purchase special music for Christmas and Easter and help advertise the Nine Lessons and Carols. If you have any questions, please speak with Father Hines.

GREETING VISITORS – STEWARDSHIP FOR ALL!!!
The ministry of being a Greeter is more important and rewarding than you may realize. It is important to make visitors feel welcome. Just saying “hello,” asking visitors to sign the guest book, and giving them a small gift helps people feel comfortable. If you are interested in helping with this important project, please speak with Ann Whitfield.
