CHRISTIAN CLASSICS – BOOK DISCUSSION:  MERE CHRISTIANITY BY C. S. LEWIS
The discussion of Mere Christianity is off to a fine start.  We are enjoying C. S. Lewis’s sense of humor along with his engaging style as we seek to love God with our minds.  This week class resumes on Wednesday, June 29, at church after Mass.  We will be discussing Book 3, Chapters 1-3.  These are all brief chapters.  Feel free to join in at any time, as each week covers new material.

BISHOP’S VISITATION AND CONFIRMATION:  SUNDAY, JULY 10 AT 10:30 AM
Bishop Frank Brulc and his wife, Kathleen, will be visiting St. George’s.  A reception hosted by the ACW follows immediately after Mass.  Please note that there will be no Mass at 8:00 am on July 10.  Also, note that our Sunday School teachers have relatives and children who will be confirmed.  There will be no Sunday School classes on July 10.  Children who are 0-2 years old will be cared for in the nursery.  Children older than 2 years should stay with their family in church.

SUMMER MOVIE NIGHT
We have another wonderful movie coming on Saturday, July 16.  Woodlawn is a 2015 Christian film about a high school football team and coach finding spiritual change in their lives and in their community.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the August movie night is moved up one week to Saturday, August 13.  Please mark your calendars.

THE FOOD PANTRY CABINETS ARE BUILT.  Please take a moment to look at the progress.  They are located in the nursery.  Next week we will acquire locks and start storing food.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING THIS SUMMER, PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE WILL PRAY FOR YOUR SAFE TRAVEL.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS CELEBRATION, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1ST
This year we are expanding this celebration and we need help from ALL parishioners.  We plan to have vendor booths as well as a petting zoo, pony rides, light refreshments, and of course, The Blessing of the Animals.  At this time, we need help distributing Invitations and Contracts to Vendors who represent animals.  The Invitations and Contracts are located on the patio.  Please take a few copies of the contracts and invitations to your veterinarian; pet groomers; trainers, pet boutiques; SPCA resources or any others you may think of.  For further information, please speak with Ann Whitfield or Fr.
