TODAY’S INSTRUCTION ON THE FAITH:  One example of how the 1928 Book of Common Prayer is more Biblically sound than the 1979 Prayer Book of the Episcopal Church.

BOWLING AT THE SANTA FE:  NEXT SUNDAY, AUGUST 7, 2016 @ 12:30 PM
The cost is $12.00 per person.  Includes 2 bowling games, shoe rental, bowling ball, pizza and soda.  A sign-up sheet is available on the patio.

SUMMER MOVIE NIGHT
We have another exciting movie coming on Saturday, August 13. The move is entitled: Old Fashioned. Sound boring? Hardly!!! It is about a young man, named Clay Walsh, who leaves his wild-side days behind by moving to a small town to settle down to live a Christian way of life. However, before you know it, his Christian world view is challenged when he meets Amber Hewson who has a completely different take on life. His Christian faith about love and marriage are tested. How will this story end?  Come and see!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

CHRISTIAN CLASSICS – BOOK DISCUSSION:  MERE CHRISTIANITY BY C. S. LEWIS
The Mere Christianity discussion group continues this week, concluding Book 3 with Chapters 7-12, on the virtues of charity, hope and faith. Feel free to join in even if you have not been before.

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS CELEBRATION, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1ST
This year we are expanding this celebration and we need help from ALL parishioners.  We plan to have vendor booths as well as a petting zoo, pony rides, light refreshments, and of course, The Blessing of the Animals.  At this time, we need help distributing Invitations and Contracts to Vendors who represent animals.  The Invitations and Contracts are located on the patio.  Please take a few copies of the contracts and invitations to your veterinarian; pet groomers; trainers, pet boutiques; SPCA resources or any others you may think of.  For further information, please speak with Ann Whitfield or Fr. Hines.
