TODAY’S INSTRUCTIONS ON THE FAITH: What is the history of the Feast of Christ the King?

REQUIEM FOR GEORGE HAMBLET SCHEDULED FOR NEXT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31, 3:00 PM AT THE CHURCH.  A reception will be offered at the church following the service.  George and Marilyn are long-time members of St. George’s and very active members of Holy Trinity Mission.  Please try to attend the service, if possible.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS NEXT WEEKEND.  PLEASE SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR SO THAT YOU MAY ATTEND ALL SAINTS DAY ON SUNDAY MORNING!

ADVENT RETREAT DAY – SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2015, 8:30 AM TO 5:00 PM AT ST. JUDE’S RANCH This is a one-day retreat, which is open to all adult parishioners.  It includes Mass, the Offices of Morning & Evening Prayer, instruction and meditation.  A continental breakfast and snacks will be served.  Please bring your own brown bag lunch.  The cost is $15.00 per person.   More information and sign-up sheets are available on the patio.

THE ACW MEETING ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 21 WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

ACW BAKE SALE IS SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22 We hope everyone is planning to donate homemade goodies.  Your delicious products can be dropped off at the church office in the afternoon (Noon until 4:00 pm) on either Thursday, Nov. 19 or Friday, Nov. 20.  On Saturday, someone will be available to receive your donations after 2:00 pm. A NEW

CHRISTMAS TREE AND DECORATIONS FOR THE CHURCH St. Anne’s Guild is donating a new Christmas tree for our church.  Our present tree has been beautiful for many years but is starting to show wear.  In order to decorate our new tree, we hope you will consider donating towards the purchase of new decorations.  If you would like to donate financially towards the purchase of new decorations, please specify as such on your check or donation envelope.

CELEBRATION OF DISCIPLINE CLASS: DISCOVERING A RICHER SPIRITUAL LIFE Parishioner Kathy Ruud leads this class exploring the classic “Disciplines,” or central spiritual practices, of the Christian Faith. Class meets in Fr. Hines’ office each Sunday morning,9:25 am to 10:20 am & repeats on Wednesdays 7-8 pm.

CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTION TODAY FOR YOUTH, 9:25-10:20 AM (Class meets in the conference room)

CONFIRMATION INSTRUCTION FOR ADULTS CONTINUES ON WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30, 7:00 – 8:00 PM.
