WELCOME BISHOP FRANK BRULC
Bishop Frank Brulc and his wife, Kathleen visit St. George’s today.  The Bishop will confirm:  Gino Diasparra, Joseph Diasparra, Heather Fonte, Asher Heerema, David St. John, Hannah Jones, Asia Murphy, Emily Seibert, and Nicholas Warren.

As the Bishop processes down the aisle at the conclusion of the Mass, it is customary to go down on one’s right knee or, if you cannot do this, to bow reverently and to make the sign of the cross as he gives you his blessing.  This demonstrates our reverence for the Apostolic office he holds, as the Ambassador of Christ.

Bishop Frank Brulc was recently installed as the new Diocesan Bishop of the Southwest at last month’s Diocesan Synod in Tulsa.  We are honored and privileged that one of his first episcopal acts as the new Diocesan Bishop is to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation with the laying on of hands for our Confirmands.

Please join us immediately after Mass for a reception hosted by the ACW in the conference room and Sunday school rooms.

There will be no Sunday School classes today.  Our Sunday school teachers have relatives and children who will be confirmed.    Children who are 0-2 years old will be cared for in the nursery.  Children older than 2 years should stay with their family in church.

FATHER HINES OUT-OF-TOWN THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, JULY 14-16
Father Hines will travel to the San Diego area to visit and bring Communion to some of St. George’s parishioners living in the southern California area.  You will be able to reach him by cell phone.  Father will be back for both Masses next Sunday.
