TODAY’S INSTRUCTION ON THE FAITH: What is the Proper Preface in the Mass?

MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE LENT & EASTER DAY FULL OF BLESSINGS:
Special thanks to Ron Richardson, the Choir, and the Vegas Voices who provided beautiful music throughout the season. Thanks to the Altar Guild who work constantly at God’s Altar especially during Lent and Easter. Thank you to all the acolytes, especially for their devoted service during Holy Week. Many thanks to all who contributed to the beautiful Lenten retreat at St. Jude’s Ranch. A special thank you to St. Anne’s Guild who provided Easter Day coffee hour and who assembled the beautiful Easter baskets. And a special thank you to Kim Jones and the Sunday School teachers who organized the Easter egg hunt and who labor in the Sunday School during the service when all the students have already had too much sugar! Truly Lent and Easter services require a “cast of thousands.”

BISHOP FRANK BRULC TO MAKE EPISCOPAL VISITATION SUNDAY, MAY 7TH
Bishop Frank Brulc, Diocesan Ordinary, will make his annual episcopal visitation on the Feast of St. George (feast day transferred from April 23rd to May 7th). Please note: there will be one Mass only for that Sunday at 10:30 am. The Bishop is the Ambassador for Christ and, “Where the Bishop is, there is the Church.”; thus, in keeping with historic Church practice, the Church will gather as One Body on the Bishop’s day of visitation.

BOOK DRIVE FOR LOCAL PUBLIC LIBRARY – NOTE FROM MICHAEL JONES
Thank you to everyone for your support of the book drive. The project gained far more traction than I thought it would. By the time I went to drop the books off at the library, I had hundreds of books collected! Thank you again for all of the donations. It would not have been possible without you.

RED WAGON FOOD PANTRY
This month the suggested donation is canned chicken, ham, or tuna which can be left in the Red Wagon. Thank you for your support to this important ministry. If you know of anyone in need, please contact Father Hines.
