First Sunday In Lent March 5, 2017 A.D.

LENTEN STUDY BEGINS NEXT WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8, 7:00 PM
Father Hines and Kathy Ruud are the instructors for this class. You are invited to continue (or begin) your reading in The Elements of the Spiritual Life by Frederic Harton. We will meet to discuss whatever God is prompting you in your personal reading. Please read Chapters 7 and 8 before that date. Spiritual reading, whether from treasures of the faith like this one, or from sacred Scripture is a way of placing yourself in God’s presence to be spoken to, and to be strengthened and encouraged in following Christ. Whether you can come on Wednesdays or not, we invite you to join us in reading. If you need a book, it is not too late to sign-up on the patio and we will place an order in time for the first class.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS EVERY FRIDAY IN LENT: The next service is Friday, March 10 at Noon.

MAKING CONFESSION IN LENT: Please contact Fr. Hines for an appointment to hear your Sacramental Confession.

DON’T FORGET TO PICK UP YOUR MITE BOX(ES) ON THE BACK TABLE!
Your mite box donations help support our seminary, St. Joseph of Arimathea Theological College, located in Berkeley, California. For more information please visit their website: http://www.anglicanpck.org/seminary. A brochure about the seminary is located in the back hall across from the Sacristy. Mite boxes are distributed to the Sunday school children as well as adults. Please return your mite boxes during the Easter octave.

FREE BOOKS!
St. George’s Church received generous donations of books from the Bruderhof communities. These communities are located in NY, WVa, Pa, and Fla, as well as United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and Paraguay. Please take a moment and look at the book table on the patio. Perhaps you will find some interesting Lenten reading to take home with you.
