Fourth Sunday In Lent Rose Sunday March 26, 2017

TODAY’S INSTRUCTION ON THE FAITH: Am I committing a sin if an evil thought comes into my mind and I have a desire to fulfill it?

LENTEN STUDY NEXT WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29, 7:00 PM
This week’s reading from The Elements of the Spiritual Life by Frederic Harton, is Chapters 12 and 13. We are moving quickly through these important Lenten readings; please read and consider them on your own, and then if you can, join us on Wednesday evening to discuss what was important to you and to deepen your experience of the book in community. Fr. Hines is leading these discussions on sin and grace and tools for holiness and love for God and others.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS EVERY FRIDAY IN LENT: The next service is Friday, March 31 at Noon.

EASTER LILIES SIGN-UP SHEET IS AVAILABLE ON THE PATIO.

MAKING CONFESSION IN LENT: Please contact Fr. Hines for an appointment to hear your Sacramental Confession.

DONATIONS FOR EASTER BASKETS NEEDED BY NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 2ND
Donations for our upcoming Easter baskets are needed by April 2nd in order for them to be on display on Palm Sunday, April 9. If you are not certain what is needed, cash is appreciated in order to purchase items for the baskets. Also, gift cards for restaurants, movie theaters, department stores, or grocery stores. If you have questions, please talk with JoniLynn Katchuk or Carol Fabbri.

RED WAGON FOOD PANTRY
Donation needs for March are canned chunky/hearty soups and stews, tuna, salmon, and crackers. Low salt and sugar free foods would also be appreciated. If you are in need of assistance, please talk with Father Hines.

BOOK DRIVE FOR LOCAL PUBLIC LIBRARY
Michael Jones is working on a school project this semester. It is a book drive for a local library. He is collecting gently used books to donate. Do you have any books at home that you would like to donate to this worthy cause? Please bring them to church. There will be a container on the patio to drop off your used books.

MANY THANKS TO KATHY RUUD
We are grateful to Almighty God for the very successful Lenten Retreat at St. Jude’s Ranch yesterday. Instruction offered by Kathy Ruud was spiritually beneficial and beautifully presented. Kathy’s message bore the signature of much thought, prayer, and labor from her bringing to life the beautiful contemplative faith of St. Teresa of Avila. Janie Brown, Angie Thompson and others are also deserving of thanks in helping make this retreat a blessed and meaningful one for all who attended.
